-- Elizabeth Borchert has opened Spire Commercial Appraisal at 123 W. Front St., Suite 202, in downtown Traverse City. In addition to helping lenders, the commercial appraisal service will assist attorneys and others involved in estate planning, gifting, divorce, bankruptcy and zoning disputes. Borchert, formerly with Veri-Tech Appraisal, is a Certified General Appraiser and is working toward her MAI, the Appraisal Institute's top professional designation. -- Dr. Jason Myers has opened Defy Medical Fitness, an upscale medical health care and physical fitness center located at Suite 1090, 800 Cottageview Dr., next to Defy Aesthetic Club in the Mercato at Building 50. The new center integrates health care and fitness with a membership-based practice that offers private, on-site medical exams, a workout area, a functional trainer and spa showers.
