TRAVERSE CITY -- Business owners in northern Michigan can sound off on the new Michigan Business Tax at two public forums coming up in Traverse City and Gaylord.
State Sen. Jason Allen and Rep. Howard Walker, both Traverse City Republicans, will host a town hall meeting on May 16 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce office at 202 E. Grandview Parkway. Representatives of local businesses and accounting firms will discuss the MBT's impacts on local and regional businesses, and the public is also invited to offer comments.
The meeting in Gaylord will be held at the The University Center, Room U-111 at 80 Livingston Blvd. It begins at 11 a.m.
