-- Stafford's Perry Hotel in Petoskey was selected among the top wedding sites by The Knot Best of Weddings magazine. The magazine conducts an annual survey of more than 20,000 recent brides for feedback on businesses hired for their weddings when determining its ratings.

-- The Inn at Bay Harbor received a Silver Medal award from GOLF magazine as part of the magazine's biennial listing of the top 75 best golf resorts listed in its April 2008 issue. The rating is compiled with input from 8,000 readers to determine the bext golf resorts in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Caribbean.

-- Menards was named Best Regional Retailer in the 2008 Energy Star Awards ceremony in Washington, an energy savings program through the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Menards has been an Energy Star partner since 2003.
