Dozens of area residents representing local businesses voiced their frustration over the new Michigan Business Tax at a public forum held at the Traverse Area Chamber of Commerce. Tax liability under the MBT soared for several local companies, which also reported incurring higher accounting and administrative costs associated with the new tax.
