Ex-TV weatherman wins GOP House nod

BELLAIRE — A former television meteorologist Greg MacMaster earned a spot on the November general election ballot.

MacMaster received 4,944 votes in the Republican primary for the Michigan House's 105th District, with candidate Triston Cole placing second with 4,519 votes.

The seat currently is held by state Rep. Kevin Elsenheimer, who is running for 86th District Court judge.
