Authorities arrested a Kalkaska man on suspicion that he threatened to kill his three children.

They arrested the man, 30, around 4:45 p.m. today after authorities believe he told his ex-wife that if he couldn't see her, he'd kill their children. That alleged statement prompted authorities to place five area schools on lockdown.

No injuries occurred during Thursday's events.
