Kingsley classes interrupted, resume

KINGSLEY — An apparent bomb threat was found written on a bathroom wall at Kingsley Middle School, administrators said.

The threat doesn't appear to be credible, interim Superintendent Mike Jurgensen said.

Authorities responded to the school shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday and students went into lockdown mode, Jurgensen said. Grand Traverse sheriff's deputies searched the school, but found no explosives, Jurgensen said. Classes resumed and authorities left before noon.

Jurgensen doesn't know who wrote the statement.
