Richard C. Schultz Jr., MD, a Traverse City ear, nose and throat specialist, has been elected to the Michigan State Medical Society Board of Directors.
Dr. Schultz will serve a three-year term on the 45-member MSMS Board, representing physicians from Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Manistee, Wexford and Missaukee counties. He is chief of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Section at Munson Medical Center and serves on the Board of Directors at Northwest Michigan Surgery Center. He is past president of the Grand Traverse-Leelanau-Benzie County Medical Society.
The Foundation for Mental Health of Traverse City has appointed Emilee Syrewicze to the position of executive director.
Syrewicze received a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in political science from Alma College and a law degree from Vermont Law School. She also serves as a nonprofit consultant for Luthern Library Boosters in Luther.
