Partnership with the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments' Health Care Regional Skills Alliance and Michigan Works has resulted in certification for four Munson Home Health aides, while a private donation for education helped nine Munson Hospice nurses get certified in their field.
Munson Home Health aides Nancy Luokka, Jennifer Windish, Allison Martin and Sue Yemmans received certification in hospice and palliative care through the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Care Nursing Assistants.
Munson Hospice nurses Barbara Hoig, Judy Rawlings, Beth Nussdorfer, Nancy Gallagher, Heidi Finkhouse, Nancy Patterson, Karen Rudolph, Jenny Hoxsie, and Sarah Gauthier were certified in hospice and palliative care through the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses.
In addition, Munson Hospice volunteer coordinator Judy Goodrich was certified as a music practitioner in harp through the Music for Healing and Transition program accredited by the National Standards Board of Therapeutic Musicians.
Tracy Riddle, DO, recently joined Neuromuscular & Rehabilitation Associates of Northern Michigan, 3988 W. Royal Dr.
Dr. Riddle graduated from Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed her osteopathic internship at Ingham Regional Medical Center and a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. She previously was in private practice in Lansing, specializing in interventional spine medicine and electromyography.
