Beach Bums trade McArthur for pitcher

TRAVERSE CITY -- The Traverse City Beach Bums traded infielder Brandon McArthur to the Joliet Jackhammers of the Northern League for right-handed pitcher Michael Moore.

Moore, a South Carolina native, was 32-9 in his career at Erskine College.

He originally signed with the Fargo-Morehead Redhawks before being dealt to the Jackhammers in the middle of last season.

McArthur, who played at the University of Florida, hit .190 with two home runs and eight RBI with the Beach Bums.
