On Roger Mason bobblehead night at Wuerfel Park Wednesday, it was only fitting that pitching stole the show. Kalamazoo's Bernard Robert threw a two-hit complete game shutout as the Kings earned a win over the Beach Bums.

  • Barbato delivers, Bums beat Kalamazoo
A week ago, Al Barbato was playing senior league baseball for the Albany Athletics and doing deliveries for New England Linen. Now he's delivering for the Traverse City Beach Bums, who defeated the division-leading Kalamazoo Kings on Tuesday.

Robby Alcombrack belted two home runs, but it was his single to lead off the fourth inning that eventually led to the winning run as the Traverse City Beach Bums beat Lake Erie.

  • Bums fall short against Lake Erie
Traverse City suffered its second straight loss to Lake Erie Sunday as the Beach Bums dropped a Frontier League decision.

  • Bums trounce Florence

  • Bums triple up Freedom
Traverse City's Kevin Reese went six strong innings and the bullpen locked things down from there to preserve a victory over Florence.

  • Beach Bums fall to Florence
Traverse City started off a six-game homestand on the wrong foot, dropping a decision to Florence in front of a Father's Day crowd.

  • Late Bums: Wild Things take 2 of 3

  • Beach Bums hang on for win over Wild Things
Traverse City evened the three-game series Friday with a win over host Washington. The Beach Bums overcame a fourth-inning rain delay that lasted over an hour. When play resumed, Traverse City brought in reliever David Hurst, who replaced starter Brett Bostelman in a no decision outing. Washington threatened in the eighth inning with a run to make it a 6-5 game.

  • Bums cough up early lead
Up 7-0 heading into the bottom of the third, it appeared the Traverse City Beach Bums were on their way to a third consecutive road win Thursday night. It didn't happen.
