EAST LANSING -- Freshman Kalisha Keane led a balanced Michigan State attack with 20 points Saturday as the Spartans defeated Bowling Green 74-66 in a second round WNIT game at the Breslin Center.

With the win, Michigan State improved to 20-13 -- its fifth straight 20-win season.

Michigan State will now host either Evansville or Kansas on Thursday.

Mandy Piechowski, Allyssa DeHaan and Lauren Aitch all added 12 points for the Spartans. Point guard Brittney Thomas chipped in eight assists and eight rebounds.

The Spartans dominated inside, out-rebounding the Falcons 47-32, and outscoring them 40-10 in the paint.

Lauren Prochaska, the Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year, scored a career-high 24 points to lead the Falcons, who finished the season with a 26-8 record. She hit five 3's.

Bowling Green led 24-18 at the 8:37 mark in the first half, but the Spartans went on a 17-0 run over the next six minutes to take a 35-24 advantage. They never trailed again.

Michigan (17-13) begins WNIT play Monday night, hosting Virginia Commonwealth (26-7) in a second-round game.
