Johnny Verbeeck, a fifth generation organ builder from Belgium, works parts from the 1922 Mortier Dance Hall Organ at the Music House Museum in Acme. The instrument, which Verbeek is working on with his son, Jeffrey Verbeek, has about 700 pipes ranging from 6 feet tall to as small as a quarter inch. "This is pretty standard, I can do it with my eyes closed," he said of the work.
