Record-Eagle/Loraine AndersonAvis Wolfe gathers a sheaf of 1892 transcribed newspaper articles written by Northport missionary Arvilla Smith from her bookcase. Smith wrote 12 Grand Traverse Herald columns that year describing earlly pioneer life in Leelanau County when she, her husband George N.
