Butler 50th

TRAVERSE CITY — Robert and Mary Butler of Traverse City observed their golden wedding anniversary on Saturday, May 18, 2013. They joined their daughter and son-in-law on a seven-day Caribbean cruise in March in celebration of their anniversary. A family party is planned for this summer.

Robert Butler and Mary Mannor were married on May 18, 1963, at St. Mary’s of Hannah Catholic Church. The Rev. Francis Karl performed the ceremony.

Mr. Butler worked at Burwood Products for 32 years and retired from Lear Corp. in 2008 after 10 years of employment. Mrs. Butler worked for the Traverse City Record-Eagle for 38 years and also retired in 2008. They are lifelong Traverse City area residents.

The couple’s children are Sherry and Roger Graves of Traverse City and Chris and Melissa Butler of Neosho, Mo. They also have nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
