Parker 60th

CEDAR — Mr. and Mrs. Keith Parker of Cedar celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary on March 13, 2014. They were guests of honor at a luncheon on their anniversary at the Grand Traverse Pavilions. A family dinner was hosted in their honor on March 16, 2014.

Keith Parker and the former Margaret Bernhardt were married on March 13, 1954, at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Traverse City. The Rev. William Lamb performed the ceremony.

Mr. Parker retired as power plant supervisor from the Traverse City State Hospital. He currently is a farmer. Mrs. Parker was a secretary, a homemaker and did the farm bookkeeping. She is retired. Both Mr. and Mrs. Parker are lifelong Grand Traverse area residents.

The couple’s children are Phyllis (Morrie) Walworth of Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., David Parker and Wesley Parker, both of Cedar, Brenda Parker of Warren, Carol (Todd) Sears of Bethel, Vt., and Timothy (Chris) Parker of Pearl City, Hawaii. They also have 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
