Weathers 70th

TRAVERSE CITY — Mr. and Mrs. Max Weathers of Traverse City will celebrate their platinum wedding anniversary with a cake and coffee open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, in room 822 at Turtle Creek Casino in Willamsburg.

Max Weathers and the former Dorothy Anstett were married on Jan. 1, 1944. They are lifelong Traverse City area residents.

Mr. Weathers retired from Traverse City Iron Works. Mrs. Weathers is a homemaker.

The couple’s children are Sharon (Rich) Lehn, Doug (Cheryl) Weathers, Pam (Ron) Fasel, and Jan (Rich) Barrett, all of Traverse City, and the late Gary Weathers. The Weathers also have 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
