Film Festival Schedule: 07/30/2009

Panel

"Palestine and Vine" is about films coming out of the West Bank and Gaza, with Rachel Corrie's parents, Craig and Cindy, discussing the film about their daughter, "Rachel," and Palestinian filmmakers Annemarie Jacir and Ossama Bawardi ("Salt of This Sea"). City Opera House. Tickets are handed out beginning at 8:30 a.m.; panel session scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. Free.

Kids Film Festival

"Sita Sings the Blues," 9:30 a.m., State Theatre, $6.

Film School

Documentary 101 with Kevin McMahon, director of "Waterlife," 1-4 p.m., CenterPoint building on M-22. $3; check for availability at www.traversecityfilmfest.org.

Open Space movie

"Hair," PG, 121 minutes. Entertainment starts at 7 p.m.; movie begins at dusk. Free.

After hours gig
