November 07, 2008 12:00 am LANSING -- Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm is one of 17 people appointed to help advise President-elect Barack Obama on the economy during his transition period. Granholm will meet with Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden today in Chicago. Other members of the "transition economic advisory board" include former Michigan Rep. David Bonior, Warren Buffett and former U.S. treasury secretaries under President Clinton -- Lawrence Summers and Robert Rubin. Granholm will participate in a Chicago press conference after the meeting.
