Poll: Obama backed by prior GOP voters

DETROIT -- Barack Obama stitched together a winning coalition in Michigan in part by peeling away voters in groups that might have been expected to oppose him.

An exit poll showed the economy was by far the biggest issue on voters' minds -- and the more concerned they were about the economy, the likelier they were to support Obama.
