Honest, forthright

OK, we get it; the Record-Eagle doesn't like Jason Allen. You keep reporting of funds that have secret donors then tell who the donors are. You have done a great job of placing an unfair shadow of doubt in the minds of potential voters and an incredible disservice to this community.

I have known Jason since he was a boy. He is one of the most honest and forthright gentleman I have ever known and, agree or not with his politics, we are lucky to have him as our senator.

Join me in voting for Jason Allen.

Don't be misled

Gov. Granholm is not responsible for the auto industry's mismanagement, corporate greed, NAFTA, or 12 Engler years causing Michigan's mess.

Don't be mislead by radical Republicans. DeVos is a "selfish"-made millionaire, taking advantage of loopholes, outsourcing, buying his own tax breaks.

Read intelligent conservative voices (Dobbs, "War on the Middle Class," or "Exporting America").

DeVos' family company, Amway, followed a pyramid sales scheme wherein ever-growing numbers on the bottom funded those at the top (DeVos).

Downstaters disillusioned with Amway sported bumper stickers reading "Amway is not my way."

Register your disillusion with pyramid schemes and Bush economics — vote straight Democratic.

A vote to recall

Blair Township voters, there are verified legitimate reasons to recall treasurer Kathy Nowak. The allegations cited on the ballot can be substantiated.

Her failure and mismanagement of funds, duties, initiating and implementing changes without board approval, insubordinate to township board recommendations and directives, non-professional conduct and integrity is appallingly lacking.

This is not hearsay, but well-documented in legal Blair Township board-approved minutes and includes Kathy Nowak's support.

Township boards have no power of corrective action.

Only the voters can remove a problematic official. Voters hired her — voters must fire her.

Vote "yes" to recall Kathy Nowak.
